2003 NCAA Week 9 Wednesday Virginia Tech (-13.5) over West Virginia. 2 Units. Saturday Purdue (+4.5) over Michigan. 2 Units. Michigan is not the powerhouse they looked to be at the start of the season. Their running game and defense is not up to their traditionally high standards. Purdue is solid in all aspects of the game and has covered and won six straight. Toledo (-12.5) over Ball St. 2 Units. Ball St. will have a tough time recovering from an over 40 point shellacking last Saturday. Subscriber Picks Northwestern (+10.5) over Wisconsin. 2 Units. Wisconsin’s offense is not so strong and this game comes after a big letdown against Purdue last week. Minnesota (-14.5) over Illinois. 4 Units. Minnesota will run all over Illinois. South Carolina (-16.5) over Vanderbilt. 2 Units. This is a get healthy and happy game for the Holtz hick bunch as they have had two tough weeks in a row at home. Texas Tech (-3.5) over Missouri. 3 Units. The Tech offense should be too much the Tigers. Louisville (-17) over East Carolina. 3 Units. Louisville should have a fun week playing a team that is very weak on both sides of the ball. Cincinnati (-28) over Army. 3 Units. Lets do the math, Cincinnati beat East Carolina at home by 37, East Carolina on the road beat Army by 6, then Cincinnati should beat Army by more then 28. Fresno St. (-20.5) over Rice. 2 Units. Frenso St. finally gets a cream puff to beat up on. TCU (-6) over Houston. 3 Units. TCU’s backup QB has played well this season so there are no worries if starter Gunn can’t play. Houston has improved but winning or playing close would be a monster step up. Added Pick: Oklahoma St./Texas A&M over 61.5. 2 Units. |
