NCAA Week 7

Thursday

Paid

Minnesota (-3) over Illinois. 2 Units.  Minnesota slipped up last week after a creampuff pre-conference schedule, but Illinois even lost to one of their creampuffs at home, so Minnesota is definitely the stronger team looking to regain the momentum lost last weekend at Purdue.  The Gophers are great on turf and should create some turnovers against a sloppy Illini offense.

Free

Clemson/Florida St. under 59. 1 Unit.  This game means much more then it looked like it would last week after FSU's loss to Louisville.  FSU has looked human again this season and Clemson has played solid defense so far this season against some strong offensive teams.  There may be some of the beginnings of Hurricane Lili which could set up inclement weather again.

Friday

Paid

BYU (-16.5) over Utah State.  2 Units.  The Cougars should get back on track after an bye to get ready for this instate pansy.  Utah State has not shown any glimmer of strength this season so we have go with BYU.

Saturday

Free

Duke (+12.5) over Virginia. 1 Unit.  Virginia is inconsistent and Duke has played week already winning 2 games this year and going 4-1 ATS.

Iowa (-8.5) over Purdue.  2 Units.  After surviving at Penn State, Iowa gets some home cooking when they have been really strong lately.  Purdue beat a mediocre Minnesota team last week and will not fare as well on the road.

Washington (-11.5) over California.  2 Units.  Well California fever may have slowed down now that they are hitting the meat of the Pac 10.  Washington will show Cal that they have come along way, but will not have a chance at Washington.

Paid

Florida/Mississippi over 63.5. 1 Unit. Offense, offense, offense and Mississippi plays no defense.

Texas Tech (+6.5) over Texas A&M.  2 Units.  The Red Raiders are an even better version of La Tech with a defense.  A&M will have problems scoring and stopping the strong passing of Tech.  Upset.

Texas Tech/ Texas A&M over 43.5.  2 Units.  A&M defense will have a  letdown this week and the total will hit the 50's.

Air Force (-23.5) over Navy.  3 Units.  Run, run, run, runaway landslide.  Compare the teams performances against Northwestern, enough said.

Houston (+11) over TCU. 2 Units.  Houston has also turned things around from a couple of horrific seasons and has a nice shot at beating TCU with their balanced offensive attack.  TCU wins with defense, but the defense will have some problems this week.

San Jose St. (-6.5) over SMU.  2 Units.  This Mustang needs a bigger engine because they may not win a game this season.  San Jose State is playing wonderful ball and is very strong on the road covering 3 of 4 this season.

Kansas St. (-3.5) over Colorado.  2 Units.  Colorado is so inconsistent and in turmoil with QB Ochs transferring out.  Kansas St. has a favorable schedule with this game being its toughest road test of the year and of the bye week should be ready.

Penn State (+2.5) over Wisconsin. 2 Units.  Well Penn State almost rallied for an amazing comeback against Iowa.  They will be ready for an overrated Wisconsin which should have their bubble burst this weekend.

South Carolina (-4) over Mississippi St.  2 Units.  We have gone against Mississippi St. several times this season and they still have not shown that they are capable of playing SEC caliber football.  South Carolina should be okay here even with their sloppy ball handling.

Missouri (+14) over Oklahoma.  2 Units.  Missouri has been very comfortable at or near home this season and Oklahoma is not up to where they had been playing.  This is another game that could end up as an upset.

Nevada-Reno (-1.5) over UNLV. 3 Units.   UNLV sucks and Nevada has played well and will be excited for this instate rivalry since they have lost the last two seasons.

Cincinnati (-5.5) over Miami-Ohio.  2 Units.  Revenge.  Cincinnati lost to Miami LY and should be up to kicking them around this weekend.

Added:  Maryland (+3) at West Virginia. 2 Units.  Maryland is getting back on track with some inexperienced guys in skilled positions and West Virginia has feasted on poor rushing defenses, but Maryland is a much better defense then any team WVa has faced.
