Preseason NFL 2-2 -.3 Units Preseason NFL Week 3 Pittsburgh (-5) over Dallas. 1 Unit. Pitt has stumbled out of the blocks this preseason in first year without Kordell Stewart and Dallas is ripe to lose after getting big win last week. Dallas is also playing a QB for the whole first half who did not play at all last week and did not do much in the first game either. HC Cowher will want a strong performance this week so he can rest the starters next week. Pittsburgh TB Bettis will also be motivated to show that he can still be reliable after getting demoted to second string. Chicago/Arizona over 32.5. 2 Units. Both teams are looking to get their offenses in a consistent rhythm and have indicated that the offensive starters will play into the second half. Arizona's defense, which was not so great to begin with, has some banged up starters. We should see a game with both teams getting into the 20 point range. Result: 1-1 +.9 Units Preseason NFL Week 2 Cleveland (-3) over Green Bay. 2 units. This game will be key in the QB battle of who gets to be the starter: Couch or Holcomb. Both guys will play longer and feel more urgency to play better this week especially in the battle to be the fan favorite as well. Green Bay does not have much to prove and just needs to keep the starters and key backups healthy for the season. Carolina (+3.5) over New York Giants. 1 Unit. The Giants just suck in preseason and allowed 7 sacks last week. Carolina is out to prove they are not in the cellar of their tough division. Additionally Carolina has the better list of QB's based on experience. Result: 1-1 -1.2 Units. |
