The Moss Report Threesome -Three Favorites against Bad Teams Play each game for the units designated and then play 3 - 2 Team Parlays for 1 Unit Each. If you go 3 - 0 you will win almost 26 units. If you go 2 - 1 ATS you will clear from 4 to 8 units. Note: Returning Customers your rebate will be processed by Tuesday (sorry about the delay, but we wanted you to know.) NC State (-17) over Duke. 5 Stars. Last week one of these two teams stepped up to win a game decisively, while the other didn't. N.C. State shut out Virginia last week 24-0 with strong defensive showing and consistent offense that did not turnover the ball. Duke lost by 14 to a weak Vanderbilt team that was their best opportunity for a win this season. The visitor (N.C. State) has covered 7 of 8 in the series and Duke is 1-4 ATS on their home field this year. PAC 10 Game of the Month: Arizona (-3.5) over Cal. 6 Stars. The football program at Cal is going backwards and their coach is on his way out after this terrible season. Cal has lost 10 games in a row and 12 straight games played in November. Now there are some historical stats that point to Cal in this situation, but when a team sucks this much and they are only a 4 point dog something is really off. Neither team is in the plus column on turnover ratio, but Cal's turnover ration 2+ per game worse then Arizona. C-USA Game of the Year: Louisville (-11) over Tulane. 7 Stars. Louisville is 7-1 SU and 5-2 ATS showing that they are the team to beat in Conference USA. This team has won 5 straight games and have started to put together a complete team. Tulane has a terrible defense that cannot stop Snow White let alone any of the Seven Dwarves. In addition, Tulane's quarterback is a bit dinged up and the threat of his passing has allow running back Moore to become a weapon. Louisville's defense which has improved over the season is strong enough to contain Tulane. Louisville is 9-2 ATS as a favorite off BB SU and ATS wins and will roll. Penn State (-2) over Southern Miss. 3 Stars. Penn State found some pride and a quarterback in Zach Mills who can lead them to victory by running and passing. Penn State gained a ton of confidence with their upset of Ohio State last week and has good chance for a win here against a tough defense. Southern Miss wishes they got to play Penn State several weeks ago, but they go to Happy Valley now. While So. Miss. blew out Houston last week and got their offense rolling, their main concern are the conference games they have left to play and not dealing with Penn State. The 105,000 at Beaver Stadium will help Penn State to a double digit victory. South Florida (-11) over Houston. 2 Stars. South Florida is new to Division 1 this season, but they are surely playing much better then several teams that have been at this level for a long long time. Houston is a terrible team and they proved that last week, giving up 58 points to an offense that had barely been over 20 all season. South Florida has played every team tough this season and even pull out wins over Pitt, North Texas, and U Conn. They have won and tied ATS at home against Div-1 teams and blown out two other Div- 1AA opponents. Houston is 0-2 ATS on the road and have been blown out on both occasions by Army and Southern Miss. Run with the Bulls, the South Florida Bulls. La. Tech (-1) over Boise State. 3 Stars. Louisiana Tech does not play at home too often, but are in a 20-4 SU run at home. Although they don't always cover at home giving 1 point is not much in this battle of two 40+ point averaging offenses. La. Tech has played the tougher schedule and should score the last touchdown to win by 7 in a slugfest. Tuesday Night East Carolina (-3) over TCU. 3 Stars. ECU is 4-3 SU this season but 3-0 in Conference USA. East Carolina has yet to win a conference title although they have had several talented teams. TCU is sputtering with inconsistence in this first season without Dennis Francione and entering C-USA. East Carolina is 10-2 ATS as favorites of less then 12 points and 11-2 in the first of BB away of a home game. TCU is 0-8 ATS as a dog of 4 points or less. Thursday Night Game of the Month BYU (-14) over Colorado St. 5 Stars. Book this now!!!! BYU's offense is one of the best in the land and can more the ball very effectively through the air and on the ground. This will be BYU's chance on ESPN2 to show the pollsters that they deserve a BCS shot. BYU 10-2 ATS with revenge after scoring 35 or more points. Colorado State is a tough foe, but they will not keep up with BYU on the road especially coming off 4 straight close games (less then 5 points difference) and winning the last two as underdogs. ***************Just added Wednesday AM**************** North Carolina (+4) over Georgia Tech. 3 Stars. Big games are not the forte of the Yellow Jackets under Coach George O'Leary. North Carolina is on the biggest roll of any team in the nation. Rookie coach John Bunting has his team believing they can beat anyone in the country. UNC is the better team here and Georgia Tech has not covered at home yet this season 0-3 ATS as a home favorite and 1-8 ATS as favorites < 9 points. UNC is 4-1 ATS as a dog this season and 6-1 ATS after allowing < 10 points. UNC should win straight up, but getting 4 points is nice so we will take them. |
